The Bohol Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), together with representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Local Government Units (LGUs), and private sectors joined the Go Negosyo learning workshop at Ocean Suites, Bool, Tagbilaran City on April 23-24, 2015.

During the two-day workshop, the participants were taught to take charge and make the most of their resources and abilities by utilizing and transforming it into viable enterprises. The workshop stirred the critical thinking and creativity of attendees to craft a Negosyo Center that could cater and provide good services to entrepreneurs or would be entrepreneurs.

Mr. Jay Aldeguer, founder and CEO of the Islands Groups, also shared briefly the marketing strategies and endeavors of the Islands Group in reaching out to small entrepreneurs so that they can bring their products to a bigger market.

The objective of the workshop, as presented by Ms. Mona Yap from the office of Senator Bam Aquino, is to gather leaders from DTI, LGU’s and private sectors to learn about appreciative inquiry, design thinking, and clustering approach and apply it in sustaining the endeavor of Go Negosyo Program. The program believes that the Filipinos can address poverty in the country by engaging in entrepreneurship and developing an optimistic, passionate, resourceful, diligent, and persevering character.
