All roads lead to the town of Calape today, May 10, as it observes the feast day of its patron saint, St. Vincent Ferrer, highlighted by events such as marathon just this morning, street dancing, and concert party with Bohol’s premiere party band, CenterStage, tonight at the town plaza.

As a climax to the series of nightly entertainments, the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) of Calape, through Vice Mayor Nelson Yu, presents CenterStage band tonight in a free concert starting at 8 o’ clock. The fiesta party is also made possible through the efforts of the SB members, Kag. Manol Sia, Kag. Billmark Yu, Kag. Tata Troyo, Kag. Gerry Regalado, Kag. Roldan Damalerio, Kag. Inday Roluna, Kag. Dee Calotes, Kag. Deden Marapao, and ABC President Winnie Toradio.
Mayor Sulpicio Yu also added this year’s festivity is capped by nightly presentations from the different government agencies, private establishments, and individual donors.

In the opening night last May 1, the first day of the nine-day novenario, was the Congressional Night sponsored by Rep. Rene Relampagos, featuring Father & Son comic duo from Cebu, Geo Mix dancers and other performers; while last May 2, was another variety show from the market vendors.

Last Sunday, May 3, the Local Government Unit (LGU) presented a boxing event; while last May 4, was the Alturas Night featuring the Dos Compañeros Jr. with a magic show of Johnny, the Magician.

A basketball championship game was also played last May 5; while DepEd Night was held last May 6; followed by BISU Night on May 7; and PPC & LGU Night on May 8, featuring Calape “Search for a Star”.

Yesterday, the vesper day, May 9, were the sports events of volleyball and duathlon, with a fireworks display and disco party last night.
