WEEKEND ROUND UP. Six suspects were arrested by police operatives in two buy-bust operations conducted in the city during the weekend.

The city police rounded up six drug suspects including a minor in various buy-bust operations in Tagbilaran City conducted during the weekend, July 9 and 10, 2016.

Jaime Dumandan, 40 and a fisherman from Talisay Beach Rd., Barangay Taloto, Tagbilaran City sold suspected shabu worth P500 to a poseur-buyer resulting in his arrest yesterday near his residence by members of the City Anti-illegal Drug Special Operations Task Group (CAIDSOTG) led by Police Chief Inspector Rully Lauron.

The operatives found three packets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia upon frisking the suspect.

The 10-member team of the CAIDSOTG also apprehended Dumandan’s companions who were with the suspect during the police operation.

The suspects were identified as Victor Paul Tapurok, 33; Israel Lumantas, 42 and a resident of Booy Village, Barangay Booy; and 41-year-old Ronald Quidok from Totolan, Dauis. The police also arrested a 17-year-old from Barangay Taloto during the same operation.

The four suspects yielded suspected shabu inside two packets and a rolled aluminum foil, and drug paraphernalia.

On Saturday, July 9, 2016, police collared drug suspect Rosabetz  Sarigumba, 47, at Sitio Lugapak, Poblacion 2 in Tagbilaran City after she sold P500-worth of suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer.

Sarigumba, a resident of F. Rocha in Tagbilaran City, yielded suspected shabu contained in six medium-sized packs and one sachet and drug paraphernalia.

The suspects are now detained at Tagbilaran City police lock-up jail pending the filing of charges against them. (with reports from Rey Tutas)
