There will be yearly homecoming of Boholanos, and not just during the “Tigum Bol-anon sa Tibuok Kalibutan” (TBTK) which is held only once in every three years.

This was agreed upon following the birth of “Balik Bohol” the newly conceived brand name of what was originally known as the “Tigum Bol-anon sa Tibuok Pilipinas” (TBTP). A meeting of the core group agreed to christened the event as “Balik Bohol,” a homecoming every July during the Sandugo Festival.

The first episode of this event will be the “Balik Bohol 2017″ which will be given much preparation starting this year, according to Romy Tagaan who coordinated the first meeting of the core group during a dinner fellowship held at the Be Grand Resort last night.

Boholano movie actor Cesar Montano who graced last night’s affair assured his full support to “Balik Bohol.” Montano who will be appointed soon with a top post in the Duterte administration said he will help organize a show among Boholano showbiz personalities during next year’s Sandugo Festival. He flew in yesterday to entertain the Boholano homecomers during last night’s dinner fellowship. He brought his three-man band with Joey Obando, soloist of the then popular BoyFriends.

Earlier last Friday, the formal launching of its original name (TBTP) was held during the 162nd Bohol Day celebration at the Bohol Cultural Center with Gov. Edgar Chatto, Rep. Rene Relampagos, Vice Gov. Dionisio Balite and the rest of the provincial officials.

Some 60 Boholanos coming from the different provinces attended last night’s meeting. Elected as interim officers to help prepare for next year’s “Balik Bohol 2017″ were broadcaster Andy Manatad based in Cebu City as president; Baby dela Cruz, president of the Boholano Association of Metro Manila, Inc. (BAMMI) as vice president and Loinda Saluan , executive assistant of Gov. Chatto as secretary.

Among the Boholano organizations present aside from BAMMI, were Anda Manila Residents Employees Association (AMREA), Kaliwat Bol-anon sa Iligan (KABOLIG), Valencia Manila Residents Association (VALMANREA), and Loboc Association of Metro Manila, Inc. (LAMMI).
