BJMP-7 regional dentist takes over BDJ

The regional dentist of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology in Central Visayas (BJMP-7) will be taking over as acting warden of the Bohol District Jail (BDJ).

Jail Chief Insp. Felipe Montejo, a dentist, will temporarily replace Jail Chief Insp. Jose Rusylvi Abueva who is set to be promoted.

Abueva will be attending a yearlong course starting this summer for his promotion to superintendent.

Meanwhile, Montejo was officially named warden of the BDJ at a ceremony at the BJMP-7 office at Veloso St. Guadalupe in Cebu City on Wednesday.

Montejo will start to oversee the operations of the BDJ as warden of the facility, which has been repeatedly recognized as “Best Jail” in Central Visayas, this week. (Rey Tutas)
