Antequera residents who are eager to receive Philippine National Police chief Dir. General Ronald dela Rosa as the guest of honor during the municipality’s 141st anniversary will have to wait for another occasion to meet the arguably most known former resident of the town.

Dela Rosa who will supposedly arrive in Bohol tomorrow has cancelled his trip to the province as the police chief will instead fly to Davao City to tend to other matters, said Antequera officials.

The highest ranking police official whose mother traces her roots to the Bohol town was supposed to deliver a speech during the municipality’s celebration of its founding anniversary.

Other special guests including Governor Edgar Chatto however will still be attending the event.
