Anti-drug units of the Panglao police allegedly caught a boatman in the act of selling shabu in Barangay Danao of the town on Thursday.

Suspect Jose Bryan Fernandez Antasoda, a 28-year-old resident of Barangay Bil-isan, Panglao, was the second boatman in the town to be arrested for drugs in just a week.

Anotasoda allegedly sold shabu worth P500 to an undercover cop which resulted in his arrest.

Senior Insp. Jomar Pomarejos, chief of the Panglao police, led the town’s anti-narcotics units in the sting operation which also led to the confiscation of drugs.

On Monday, Darwin Clemen, a 36-year-old boatman of Barangay Doljo, Panglao, was arrested in a buy-bust operation by police inside a suspected drug den.

Clemen is included in the town’s drug watchlist, said Pomarejos. (Rey Tutas)
