An 18-year-old man was allegedly caught selling illegal drugs by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Calape on Thursday.
Suspect Rico Belano Jr., a resident of Barangay St. Cruz of said town, was arrested in a buy-bust operation near the Calape National High School.
Belano is included in the agency’s drug watch list, according to the PDEA.
Prior to the arrest, Belano was allegedly spotted by PDEA agents selling shabu near a barangay tanod (village watchman) outpost.

This prompted authorities to set up the sting operation against the suspect.
Upon arrest, 10 more sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia were confiscated from Belano, said the PDEA. (W. Maestrado)
