A man tagged as a high-value target in the police’s anti-narcotics campaign was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Tagbilaran City on Wednesday afternoon.

Suspect Lynn T. Bas was collared in possession of shabu with an estimated street value of P177,000 by joint police operatives of the Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) and Regional Special Operations Group.

In a report, police indicated that Bas, a resident of Brgy. Cogon, Tagbilaran City, was caught in the act of selling illegal drugs worth P500 to a police poseur-buyer.

Drugs confiscated from Bas weighed 15 grams, added police.

According to PIB team leader Sr. Insp. Jojit Mananquil, Bas was elevated to the list of priority targets after police monitored the growing reach of the suspect’s illegal drug operations.

The suspect had already been arrested before also for drug charges, said Mananquil.

Bas is now detained at the lock-up jail in Camp Dagohoy in Tagbilaran City pending the filing of charges for possession and sale of illegal drugs against him. (Weli Maestrado)
