A man listed in the Clarin Police Station’s drug watch list was arrested in an anti-drug operation on Wednesday afternoon.
Authorities identified the suspect as Nicole Abella, a 25-year-old resident of Sitio Dungoan, Barangay Nahawan in Clarin.
According to police, they arrested Abella outside his home at around 11 a.m. after he was allegedly caught in the act of selling shabu.
The police were reportedly following Abella when they saw him dealing drugs prompting operatives to set up a drug buy-bust.
In their report, police indicated that the suspect sold shabu worth P200 to a police poseur-buyer during the sting operation.
This resulted in Abella’s immediate arrest.
Accoridng to Clarin police chief Sr. Insp. Fernando Peroramas, although Abella is in their watch list, the suspect did not surrender under Oplan Tokhang.
Abella is now detained at the Clarin poice lock-up jail pending the filing of drug charges against him, Peroramas said. (W. Maestrado)
