A man was arrested in Talibon on Tuesday morning on a charge of illegal gun possession.

The suspect identified as Raymond Ramos III, 26, was taken into police custody after a security guard of Alturas Talibon allegedly found a loose firearm inside his bag.

Based on a police report, security guard Ronald Davidran, 27, found Ramos’ .357 revolver while checking the suspect’s bag at around 10 a.m.

Ramos was unable to present documents for the firearm in his possession after he was accosted by security personnel.

This prompted Davidran of the NICO security agency to alert police.

According to the Talibon police, they found six bullets with Ramos’s illegal firearm.

The suspect was taken into police custody and detained at the lock-up jail of the Talibon Police Station pending the filing of charges against him. (AD)
