A man listed in Tagbilaran City Police Office’s (TCPO) drug watch list was arrested after he was allegedly caught in the act of selling illegal drugs along Causeway Drive in Barangay Poblacion 1, Tagbilaran City on Wednesday night.
The TCPO led by Sr. Insp. Erano Regidor collared suspect William “Nico” Vente, 25, in a drug buy-bust operation at 8:00 p.m.
According to Regidor, police operatives trailed Vente until he reached Causeway Drive where he was selling illegal drugs.
This prompted police to set the sting operation in motion against the suspect.
During the drug buy-bust, Vente allegedly sold a packet of shabu to an undercover cop signaling backup policemen to move in and arrest the suspect.
In a report, police noted that five more packets of shabu were found in Vente’s possession.
The said drugs weighed two grams and had an estimated street value of P23,600, police said.
According to Regidor, Vente was previously subjected to Oplan Tokhang but did not surrender to authorities and continued to peddle illegal drugs.
Vente is now detained at the TCPO lock-up jail pending the filing of charges for possession and sale of illegal drugs against him. (Weli Maestrado)
