A 20-year-old man tagged as a high-value target in the Bohol Provincial Police Office’s (BPPO) anti-drug campaign was arrested by police intelligence units in a drug buy-bust operation on Thursday night.

Suspect Rodel Pacna, a resident of Sitio Katugasan, Barangay Dampas, Tagbilaran City was collared by joint operatives of the Tagbilaran City Police Office and Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB).

The sting operation was set up in Tagbilaran City after Pacna was allegedly spotted selling illegal drugs near his home at around 6 p.m. on the same night of the arrest.

In a report, police said that the suspect sold shabu worth P500 to a police poseur-buyer.

Pacna allegedly attempted to escape but was eventually cornered by backup police units stationed around the operation area.

According to authorities, they found drug paraphernalia and more shabu in Pacna’s possession as he was collared.

The seized drugs reportedly weighed 3 grams and had an estimated street value of P35,400.

Pacna is now detained at the BPPO headquarters in Camp Dagohoy, Tagbilaran City.

He will be charged for violating Section 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (W. Maestrado)
