An 18-year-old suspect listed in the police’s drug watch list was arrested in an anti-narcotics operation in Panglao on Tuesday afternoon.
Panglao police chief Sr. Insp. Romar Labasbas identified the alleged drug dealer as Alcille Ebay, a native of Trento, Agusan del Sur who is temporarily living in Barangay Danao of the said Bohol town.
Ebay was allegedly caught in the act of selling illegal drugs worth P500 to a police poseur-buyer during a drug-buy-bust operation.
Operatives immediately arrested Ebay who was also reportedly in possession of nine other packets of suspected shabu.
According to Labasbas, Ebay was newly listed in the town’s watch list for drug personalities.
The suspect admitted to police that he sourced his drug supply from Tagbilaran City particularly in Barangay Manga, said Labasbas.
Ebay is now detained at the Panglao Police Station while authorities are preparing to file drug cases against him.
He will be charged for violating Section 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (WM)
