A woman fell prey to an armed robber losing cash and belongings to the still unidentified male suspect on Friday last week.
Victim Cytnthia Alegarbes reported to police that she was robbed of P27,000, two cellphones and an expensive bag which contained important documents in Barangay Nabuad, Inabanga at 8:30 p.m.
Based on initial police investigation, Alegarbes, a resident of said village, was waiting for a public utility vehicle headed to Tubigon when the suspect onboard a motorcycle suddenly went near her.
The suspect then aimed a pistol of unknown caliber at the victim.
In the same report, police said that the robber forcibly grabbed the victim’s bag while she was trying to pull it back.
This led to a brief tussle but the suspect was able to take possession of the bag while Alegarbes fell to the ground hitting her head.
According to authorities, the motorcycle-riding suspect then fled towards Tubigon.
Police investigators of Inabanga have been tasked to conduct a follow-up probe on the alleged robbery. (AD)
