Brian “Bragat” Gomez was arrested by operatives of the Tagbilaran City Special Weapons and Tactics team after he was allegedly caught in the act of selling illegal drugs on Wednesday afternoon.

A man who previously surrendered under Oplan Tokhang and was a security guard for a bank was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Tagbilaran City on Wednesday.

Authorities identified the suspect as Brian “Bragat” Gomez, a 36-year-old resident of Purok 5, Barangay Poblacion in Tagbilaran.

In their report, police said that Gomez was being monitored by Tagbilaran CIty Police Station personnel led by Sr. Insp. Erano Regidor and was then spotted selling shabu.

This led the operatives set up a staged drug transaction with Gomez.

According to authorities, Gomez sold shabu worth P500 to a police poseur-buyer during the buy-bust operation prompting operatives of Tagbilaran’s Special Weapons and Tactics team to arrest the suspect.

The police officers then frisked the suspect allegedly leading to the recovery of more shabu.

According to Regidor, they found 2.5 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P29,500 from Gomez’ possession.

Gomez is now detained at the Tagbilaran lock-up jail while charges for possession and sale of illegal drugs are set to be filed against him. (WM)
