Six people were injured as five motorcycles figured in two separate road accidents along a national road in Barangay Villalimpia, Loay on Wednesday.

According to police, the first incident happened at past 8 a.m. when a “habal-habal” (motorcycle-for-hire) driver identified as Don Cesar suddenly swerved on board his motorcycle to avoid a crossing dog.

However, Cesar instead hit pedestrian Lorenzo Docpama, a 47-year-old resident of said village.

Both Cesar and Docpama sustained multiple injuries but are in stable condition, authorities said.

Around 30 minutes after the incident, a four-way collision among motorcycles transpired in the same area.

Based on initial investigation, two of the said motorcycles were spotted racing prior to the accident.

One of the motorcycles then slightly swerved to the right hitting the other vehicle and causing both to crash.
