A woman working as a real estate agent lost P20,000 allegedly to an “Akyat Bahay” suspect who broke into her house in Tagbilaran City in the wee hours of Thursday.

Authorities identified the victim as Marilyn Autentico, a resident of Barangay Taloto in Tagbilaran City.

According to Autentico, she fell asleep at the terrace of her house together with her son and cousin prior to the suspected burglary.

Her shoulder bag which contained peso and dollar bills with an estimated amount of P20,000 were placed on top of a chair which was right beside where she slept, said Autentico.

However, the bag and its contents were already missing when she woke up at around 3 a.m. on Thursday.
