An owner of a lotto outlet lost a large amount of cash to a snatcher who went inside her house’s premises in Tagbilaran City to swipe the money on Thursday night.
Victim Gerly Jamisola told police that the suspect was able to steal P10,000 in cash which was kept inside a plastic container.
According to Jamisola, the unidentified suspect went near her while she was in front of her house in Barangay Cogon and suddenly grabbed the container.
The money was from her lotto outlet which was also near her residence.
The suspect then leapt over her house’s fence and fled on board a red XRM motorcycle.
Jamisola described the suspect as having a slim built.
However, she was not able to see his face as he was wearing a helmet.
Jamisola immediately reported the incident to the Tagbilaran City police which in turn tasked its theft and robbery section to conduct follow-up investigations.
The police’s intelligence section was also requested to assist in handling the case. (wm)
