A man tagged as a priority target in the Bohol Provincial Police Office’s (BPPO) anti-drug campaign was arrested by police intelligence officers in Tagbilaran City on Tuesday night after allegedly selling shabu to an undercover cop.

The BPPO Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) identified the suspect as Vencio Bacog, a 38-year-old native of Carmen who was temporarily living in Barangay Manga in Tagbilaran.

In a report, police said that PIB operatives led by Sr. Insp. Jojit Mananquil spotted Bacog as he was selling illegal drugs along CPG North Avenue in Manga.

The police then set up a drug buy-bust against Bacog.

The operation led to the arrest of Bacog as he allegedly sold shabu worth P500 to a poseur-buyer.

According to authorities, they found large and medium packs of shabu in Bacog’s possession upon his arrest.

The PIB estimated the seized drugs’ street value at P60,000.

Bacog is now in the BPPO’s custody at Camp Dagohoy in Tagbilaran City while drug charges are set to be filed against him. (WM)
