A motorcycle driver remains in critical condition after he accidentally ran over a stray dog and crashed in Panglao on Tuesday night.

Authorities identified the victim as Rolan Baculan, 20, of Barangay Tangnan Panglao.

Based on initial police investigation, Baculan was driving towards his house when a stray dog suddenly crossed the road in Purok 8 of Tangnan.

Baculan then hit the dog causing him to crash and be thrown away from his motorcycle.

The victim suffered multiple injuries in the head and various parts of his body.

He was immediately rushed to the Governor Celestino Gallares Hospital in Tagbilaran City where he continues to be treated for his injuries. (ad)
