Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2018 Karen Gallman will be arriving Bohol Wednesday in her first visit to the province after her victorious bid during the biggest pageant in the country last month.
The homecoming of Gallman, whose mother hails from Ubay town, starts at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow when she arrives at the Tagbilaran City Airport.
She will be accompanied by Lalaine Soriano of the Binibining Pilipinas organizing committee, said Antonieto Pernia, Cong. Aris Aumentado’s chief of staff.
According to Pernia, the 25-year-old Filipino-Australian will head straight to the Metro Centre Hotel in Tagbilaran City to pay a courtesy call to Aumentado.
Gallman will then travel to Ubay where she will be welcomed by town officials led by Mayor Constan Reyes.
Residents of Ubay and other well-wishers will get to see Gallman in a parade in the town.
Gallman, who was crowned Miss Ubay 2007, was born on September 27, 1992 to Gavin William Gallman, a retired Australian soldier, and Ubay native Editha Bayonas.
She first joined Binibining Pilipinas in 2012 at the age of 19 and made it to the top 12 of the national beauty pageant.
Later this year, Gallman will represent the Philippines in Miss Intercontinental 2018. (rt)
