Medical doctors of Gov. Edgar Chatto asked him to slow down with his daily activities after he noticed heart palpitation following a hectic schedule last Saturday.

The 58-year old governor was airlifted to Manila Sunday and confined at the St. Luke’s Hospital where he is now placed under the routine executive checkup.

During a phone interview with the Chronicle yesterday,  Chatto recalled he started to feel unwell after he led the inauguration of the Loboc School of Music in Jamili-an, Loboc on Saturday afternoon. Prior the Loboc event, he was exposed to the summer heat at the beachfront of JPark Island which held its ground breaking ceremony mid-morning last Saturday. He woke up earlier than the usual on that day to attend the thanksgiving mass of Bishop Abet Uy at the St. Joseph Cathedral.

The weeks prior, his appointments were  overloaded  with the visit of DOH Sec Duque, DILG Sec Ano whose schedules brought the governor to the towns…

“Just left Loboc School of Music where we inaugurated a new school building I promised to be built for the Loboc Youth Ambassador Band when I didn’t feel well,” said Chatto.

The governor was then taken to the Ramiro Community Hospital in Tagbilaran City for a checkup. But after his palpitation, doctors suggested to have  Chatto taken to St. Luke’s.

“My doctors are here in Manila including medical records since congressman pa. My yearly executive checks are always done here. Flights were overbooked and a friend offered a private plane,” said Chatto.
