A barangay councilor in Corella who was on his last term died after falling from a ledge right outside his house’s window.
According to SPO4 Leopedro Mortejo of the Corella Police Station, Benisio Mahuloy, 68, was urinating from a window when he fell to the ground at dawn on Monday.
The drop was only four feet high but the impact to the ground proved to be fatal, said Mortejo.
Mahuloy succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday morning at the Governor Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital in Tagbilaran City.

He was in a comatose prior to his death.
Mortejo said that Mahuloy may have been still half awake when he urinated possibly causing him to slip.
Police however are still conducting follow-up investigations on the incident. (ad)
