A man was killed after he was accidentally hit by a motorcycle in Sikatuna town while the vehicle’s driver and passenger was injured, said police.
The fatality, Dexter Rodriquez, 39, of Talibon sustained injuries throughout his body which led to his instantaneous death, said Insp. Winnie Lopena, chief of the Sikatuna Police Station.
According to Lopena, Rodriguez was walking on the side of the road when the motorcycle, driven by one Aldwin Biloy, 24, of Sikatuna, slammed straight towards him.
Biloy reportedly tried to overtake another vehicle when he hit Rodriguez who was thrown away due to the impact.
The motorcycle was travelling at high speed causing Biloy to lose control of the vehicle and hit the victim.
Biloy and his passenger, Reymart Tiongco, 22, remained at the hospital for treatment.
A reckless imprudence resulting to homicide case is set to be filed against Biloy. (A. Doydora)
