2 women, man fall in Tagbilaran anti-drug op

Two women and a 19-year-old man were arrested by anti-narcotics operatives of the Tagbilaran police in a drug buy bust operation on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Tagbilaran police chief Supt, Patricio Degay, the apprehended suspects were newly identified drug personalities in the city.

Degay identified the alleged drug personalities as Chellomae “Loy” Pesquera, 34; Flor Binigian, 28; and Glen Bantog, 19, all residents of Barangay Tiptip in Tagbilaran.

Police said that they spotted Pesquera and Binigian selling illegal drugs prompting them to set up the staged drug transaction in Barangay Cabawan in Tagbilaran.

Both women who were with Bantog on board a motorcycle then allegedly sold shabu worth P500 to an undercover police officer.

Police immediately arrested all three suspects and found eight more packets of suspected shabu in Pesquera’s possession and one sachet with Bantog, authorities said.

The seized drugs were estimated to be worth P20,000.

Both Pesquera and Binigian will be charged with sale and possession of illegal drugs.

Meanwhile, a drug possession case will be filed against Bantog. (wm)
