A man who previously surrendered under Oplan Tokhang was arrested for allegedly selling illegal drugs to an undercover policeman in Tagbilaran City.
Eric Castrado, 47, of Baranagay Manga, was apprehended during a drug buy-bust operation near his residence on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Tagbilaran Police chief Supt. Patricio Degay Jr., Castrado was listed in their drug watchlist as he earlier vowed before authorities to end involvement in narcotics trade.
However, Castrado continued his illegal drug operations, said Degay.
Intelligence officers of the Tagbilaran police allegedly saw Castrado selling illegal drugs prompting authorities to set up the sting operation along San Miguel Street in Barangay Manga.
Castrado allegedly sold shabu worth P500 to a poseur-buyer resulting to his immediate arrest.
Police said they found four more packets of shabu in Castrado’s possession.
The seized drugs were stimated to be worth P3,500.
Castrado remained under the custody of the Tagbilaran City police while authorities prepared to file illegal drug charges against him. (wm)
