An alleged drug personality and two of his companions were arrested in an anti-illegal drug operation in Baclayon on Saturday morning, police said.
According to Baclayon police chief Sr. Insp. Raymond Halasan, intelligence officers spotted Luther Jayectin, a noted drug personality who surrendered under Oplan Tokhang, as he was selling shabu in Barangay Poblacion.
Police then subjected Jayectin to a drug buy-bust operation which led to his arrest. Operatives also apprehended Mark Suprales, 28, and Gregorio Iyog Jr., 48, who were with Jayectin and were allegedly in possession of illegal drugs.
Jayectin allegedly sold shabu worth P1,000 to a police poseur-buyer while Iyog and Suprales were allegedly caught with a total of five packets of shabu.
The seized drugs were estimated to be worth P6,000, police said.
All three men are now detained at the Baclayon lock-up jail.
Jayectin will be charged with sale of illegal drugs while his two companions will face cases for possession of illegal drugs. (wm)
