A 65-year-old woman landed in the hospital after she was shot in the leg by her daughter’s irate live-in partner in Getafe on Monday night.
Police Officer 1 Roel Butero of the Getafe police said that victim Dolsita Flores may have drawn the ire of suspect Ian Meguila, 36, after he accused her of meddling in his relationship with her daughter.
Butero however did not dismiss the possibility that Meguila was after the daughter but only caught up with Flores.
Meguila allegedly barged into Flores’ house in Barangay San Jose at around 10 p.m. Flores remained seated while her daughter fled.
“Mi dagan ang ka live-in, ang lola wa ka dagan. Wala ka dagan kay tiguwang na intawn,” said Butero.
According to Butero, Miguela remained at large while Flores was in stable condition but was still being treated for her injury as of Wednesday morning.
“Nagpdayon kami og palawom sa among imbestigasyon sa maong pangahitabo,” said Butero.
Based on the police’s initial probe, Miguela has no prior criminal records or complaints filed against him.
