Jerome Abellanosa (right) and Mike Ingking (left) were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation along Rizal Street in Barangay Cogon, Tagbilaran City at 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday.

A suspected drug dealer who was allegedly caught in possession of shabu worth P245,000 and his companion were arrested by intelligence officers of the Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO) during a drug buy-bust operation in Tagbilaran City on Wednesday night.

Police identified the arrested men as Jerome Abellanosa, 29, a resident of Cogtong, Candijay and a native of Sibonga, Cebu, and Mike Ingking, 20, of Cogon, Tagbilaran City.

According to Sr. Insp. Romar Labasbas of the BPPO Provincial Intelligence Branch, Abellanosa is included in their drug watch list and was previously arrested for drug possession.

Police operatives led by Labasbas spotted Abellanosa on board his Honda City together with Ingking as both were allegedly peddling shabu along Rizal Street in Barangay Cogon.

Both men were then arrested after allegedly selling shabu worth P1,000 to an undercover police officer during a staged transaction.

Police found 14 packets of shabu weighing 20.80 grams in the suspects’ possession following their arrest.

Both men have been detained pending the filing of charges against them for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (WM)
