Burglars steal P200k cash, gadgets from Batuan house

Burglars carted away gadgets and cash worth more than P200,000 from a house which was left unattended in Batuan on Monday.

The home’s owner, businesswoman Leziela Logroño, 34, was out overnight starting Sunday and only discovered that her house was broken into at 11 a.m. the following day, said PO3 Daryl Yecyec of the Batuan police.

According to Yecyec, the burglars forcibly entered the house through a window.

A door to one of the house’s room was also forcibly opened.

Yecyec said that the burglar took away a cellpgine worth P14,000, an Asus laptop worth P40,000, and cash worth P150,000 which were kept inside a drawer.

Police have yet to identify the suspects but have gathered a fingerprint marks at the crime scene which may help with the investigation, he added.

Legroño told authorities that she was already planning to install a closed-circuit television camera at her house but the burglars were able to break into the house before she could carry out the installation. (A. Doydora)
