Travel agency manager, 2 others yield P850K shabu in Tagbilaran drug bust

A manager of a travel agency and two of his suspected cohorts in the drug trade were arrested by intelligence officers of the Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO) for alleged sale of shabu on Monday.

Operatives of the BPPO Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) allegedly seized from the suspects P850,000 worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Dampas in Tagbilaran City.

Police identified the alleged drug dealers as Edwin Bague, 38, manager of Ondoy Travel and Tours and a resident of Calape, Bryan Sumampong, 21, of Batuan and Felipe Lusterio, Jr., 38, of Panglao.

According to authorities, operatives set up the operation after Bague was spotted selling illegal drugs along Alfonso Uy Street in Barangay Dampas.

A poseur-buyer transacted with Bague and was given by the trio shabu worth P100,000.

Police then arrested the men who were allegedly in possession of 125 grams of shabu which were estimated to be worth P850,000.

All three men are now detained at the BPPO headquarters in Camp Francisco Dagohoy in Tagbilaran City pending the filing of charges against them. (wm)
