75-year-old man dead, 1 other hurt in Ubay road accident

A 75-year-old man was killed after his motorcycle was accidentally hit by another motorcycle along a national road in Barangay Achila, Ubay, police said.

Master Sgt. Keith Siason of the Ubay Police Station identified the fatality as Hermetes Tuyor, a widower who lived in Barangay Achila.

According to Siason, one Alindale Endralin, 23, of Barangay Fatima in Ubay accidentally slammed into Tuyor after the latter turned from a barangay road out to a national road on Saturday afternoon.


Endralin who was also driving a motorcycle was traversing the national road when he hit Tuyor at around 4 p.m.

Both were rushed to the Don Emilio del Valle Memorial Hospital in Ubay but Tuyor succumbed to his injuries at past 7 p.m. on the same day.

Siason said that Endralin was wearing a helmet during the accident while Tuyor was not. (AD)
