Since February 12, senatorial candidates, party list groups and their entourage have arrived in droves to woo the Bohol electorate ahead of the May 13 polls.
These national candidates are likely bent on visiting as much provinces as they can, but it wouldn’t be surprising if Bohol is among their top target destinations.
This is because Bohol is the 19th most vote-rich province in the country with 898,682 registered voters for 2019 according to data from the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
Bohol is also a ferry ride away from the most vote-rich province in the country, Cebu, to boot.
The Philippines has a total of 81 provinces.
