A 36-year-old man was arrested by police for alleged sale of illegal drugs and possession of shabu worth P238,000 in Panglao.
The suspect, Rey Gequillo, of Barangay Dampas in Tagbilaran City was apprehended by police through a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Tangnan in Panglao, said Staff Sgt. Marlon Ciudano of the Panglao Police Station.
Gequillio allegedly sold shabu worth P2,500 to an undercover cop during the operation at past 8 p.m. on Sunday resulting in his immediate arrest.
Operatives then found 36 grams of shabu which were estimated to be worth P238,000 in the suspect’s possession, said Ciudano.
Gequillo is set to be presented for an inquest proceeding before the Tagbilaran City Prosecutor’s Office on Tuesday for violations against Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dengerous Drugs Act of 2002. (AD)
