A gun-wielding man, along with one other suspect, held a security guard at gunpoint and disarmed him before robbing a branch of a popular convenience store in Bilar town in the wee hours of Wednesday.

The two still unidentified suspects allegedly robbed the Dalikyat Convenience Store, located along the national highway in Barangay Zamora, of P14,459, said Executive Master Sgt. Cerelito Curayag of the Bilar Police Station.

According to Curayag, one of the suspects, using a .38 caliber revolver, held security guard Robert Jabare, 56, at gunpoint while the other disarmed him at around 2 a.m. Jabare of the Gods Will Security Agency was also armed with a revolver.

The incident was caught on closed-circuit television camera (CCTV).

After getting the security guard’s firearm, one of the suspects went to the cashier and declared a holdup.

The suspect grabbed the cash from the cash register and fled along with his companion on board a motorcycled towards Batuan.
