A 30-year-old employee of a cellphone retailer was allegedly robbed by an armed man in broad daylight in Tagbilaran City on Wednesday.
In a report, police said that Franklyn Abuyabor, a salesperson of M&M Cell Depot, was held at gunpoint by one of two motorcycle-riding men who rode in tandem along Venancio Inting Street in Barangay Bool.
The motorcycle blocked his path while the pistol-wielding passenger alighted from the vehicle and took his belongings including P15,000 cash and a cellular phone.
Abuyabor told police that the two suspects were wearing full-face helmets and black jackets.
They fled the area on board an XRM motorcycle.
Meanwhile, personnel from the Tagbilaran City Police Station’s theft and robbery section and intelligence section have been tasked to conduct follow-up investigations on the case. (wm)
