Two men were killed while a 15-year-old boy and another man were injured after two motorcycles collided head on along a national road in Loon in the wee hours of Sunday.

Two motorcycles driven by Jonathan Lansaderas, 22, of Loon and Ryan Cuabo, 21, of Calape, slammed straight into each other at a sharp curve in Barangay Basak, said Master Sgt. Bernie Bolanio of the Loon Police Station.

According to Bolanio, both drivers were still rushed to the Governor Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital in Tagbilaran City. However, Lansaderas died at 4 p.m. later on the same day while Cuabo succumbed to his injuries at 6 a.m. on Tuesday.

Lansaderas’ 15-year-old passenger was still at the hospital for treatment but was already in stable condition. Jimboy Gerhel, 29, of Calape who was riding with Cuabo was already discharged from the hospital.

Based on their probe, Bolanio said that Cuabo crossed over to the opposite lane as he made a sharp turn causing them to collide against Lansaderas.

Authorities also noted that all four victims were not wearing helmets during the accident. (A. Doydora)
