An American national was allegedly robbed in broad daylight by motorcycle-riding men who rode in tandem along a street in Tagbilaran City on Friday.

The victim who was identified as Jacob Naasz, 39, a resident of Barangay Dao in Tagilaran City, was allegedly held at gunpoint by one of the two suspects at past 1 p.m. while he was walking towards the Holy Name University to fetch his son.

Marxel, Jacob’s Filipina wife, said that the suspects called her husband’s attention and said “migo.” They however drove past him after noticing that there were construction workers nearby.

“Pag abot niya sa unahan, sa punto na walay balay didto gibalikan siya unya giti-unan og pusil. ‘Ihatag imong wallet’ igana ang tulisan,” said Naasz.

According to Marxel, Jacob handed over his wallet then ran home and told her of the incident. They then alerted barangay officials who in turn notified the police.

“P3,000 kapin ra man nuon nakuha pero naa didto iyang tanang mga ID, driver’s license, iyang immigration, daghan pang ID unya ang iyang mga ATM diri ug international,” she said.

Marxel said that the driver was wearing a cap while the passenger who pointed a gun at her husband wore an orange full-face helmet.

They were riding a white and black Honda XRM which had no plate number.

Jacob has coordinated with the police, while the suspects remained at large.

According to Marxel, they have been living in Bohol for two years but only for over six months in Barangay Dao, Tagbilaran City. (A. Doydora)
