Businessman, brother yield P270k shabu in Tagbilaran drug bust

Anti-narcotics police operatives on Saturday night arrested a businessman who has been tagged as a high value target in the police’s province-wide drug watch list and his brother during a sting operation in Tagbilaran City.

Captain Neon Alvarez of the Drug Enforcement Unit (1st district) who led the operation said that they seized shabu worth P270,000 from Juffrey “Nash” Angon, 38, and brother Jason, 31, during the operation in Barangay Taloto.

Juffrey is reportedly operating a construction firm.

In a report, police said that Juffrey sold shabu worth P14,000 to a police poseur-buyer resulting in his immediate arrest.

Jason who was with Juffrey during the operation was also collared as he was allegedly caught in possession of shabu.

Authorities said that they seized 40 grams of shabu from the duo.

The Angons are now under police custody. Juffrey is set to be charged with sale of illegal drugs while Jason will be facing a drug possession charge. (wm)
