To enable Boholanos to channel their assistance to the earthquake victims in Mindanao, the Bohol Chronicle Radio Corp. launched “Tabang Mindanao” yesterday.
The kick off drive was aired during the top-rated Inyong Alagad program anchored by veteran broadcasters Fred Araneta and Chito Visarra together with Bohol Chronicle Radio Corp. chair Peter Dejaresco.
The launching came immediately after a phone patch assessment of the damage by Archbishop Romulo Valles of the Archdiocese of Davao who was interviewed live from Davao City.
His assessment made radio listeners worldwide aware that thousands of the dislocated victims are Boholanos who are now residing in Mindanao.
“Tabang Mindanao” will receive cash, canned goods, clothes and trapal to be used for tents of the victims.
The drive will run until November 15 when the goods and the cash donation will be sent to the Archdiocese of Davao.
Donations are accepted from 8:00pm-10:00pm at the Broadcast Center of the Bohol Chronicle Radio Corp along B. Inting st.,Tagbilaran City.
