A man tagged as a high-value target in the police’s drug watch list and his alleged cohort in the drug trade were arrested in a sting operation in Dauis town late Wednesday morning.
The operation’s target, Jemmer “Gemma” Manluluyo, 31, of Tagbilaran City and Kerjie Recla, 18, of Dauis were caught in possession of shabu worth P136,000, said Senior Master Sgt. Jose Pogoy.
According to Pogoy, Manluluyo, a drug offender, was detained at the Tagbilaran City Jail and was released in February.
He was freed through a plea bargaining deal.
The police’s Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) of the 1st District later placed Manluluyo under surveillance and was able to confirm that he relocated his illegal drug operations in Dauis.
The DEU and the Dauis Police Station led by its chief Major Jacinto Mandal then set the buy-bust operation against Manluluyo at the residence of Recla in Barangay Poblacion, Dauis.
Both men were arrested after allegedly selling shabu to an undercover cop.
They were placed under the custody of the Dauis Police Station pending the filing of drug charges against them. (A. Doydora)
