A 90-year-old man was killed in a vehicular accident involving two motorcycles in Cortes town on Monday morning.
Authorities identified the victim as Rodulfo Valentino, Sr., a resident of Cortes.
Based on Cortes police investigation, Valentino who was on board his motorcycle was accidentally hit by another motorcyclist identified as Noel Martines.
Valentino was travelling from his home towards the highway when the incident happened, police said.
His motorcycle was moving slightly uphill before it was partly on the main road where Martines zoomed straight into him from the side.
Valentino reportedly sustained a wound in his head and bruises in his body.
He was rescued by emergency responders and was still rushed to a hospital in Tagbilaran City but later on died of his injuries.
Meanwhile, Martines is in stable condition but had suffered minor injuries including scratches in his body.
Police have not yet verified whether a case will be filed against Martines or a settlement will be made between him and the victim’s family. (AD)
