Bohol hero namesake nabbed in Talibon buy-bust

DAGOHOY FALLS. Authorities collected 5 packets of suspected shabu from Francisco Dagohoy, Jr. after he was apprehended in a buy-bust operation.

A man who is a suspected drug peddler and a namesake of Bohol’s most known hero was arrested in a police buy-bust operation Tuesday night, June 21, 2016 at Barangay San Isidro, Talibon.

Francisco Dagohoy, Jr., 38, tried to elude arrest but was still caught by the authorities during the entrapment operation.

According to Senior Inspector Eduard Sanchez, chief of the Talibon Police Station, the Municipal Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operation Task Group which he led operated in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in apprehending Dagohoy.

The operatives arrested the suspect who is also known as “Elot” through buying a packet of shabu worth P200 from him.

Another 5 packets of suspected shabu were also collected from Dahogoy upon arrest.

Dagohoy had already become well known in the area for engaging in illegal drug trade, Sanchez said.

Present during the inventory were barangay councilors Innocentes Garcia and Bernardino Rosales, and members of media.

Dagohoy is currently  detained at the lock-up jail in the Talabon police office while the authorities are preparing the appropriate charges to be filed against him. (with reports from Rey Tutas)
