One of the highest-grossing animated films in box office history which surpassed “Kung Fu Panda” after it earned a whopping $674 million worldwide on the opening day, “The Secret Life of Pets” is now showing in 2D at ICM Screenville Cinema 1 and Alturas Screenville Cinema 1.

Ever wonder what your pets are doing when you’re not home? In a bustling Manhattan apartment building, pets of all kinds start the day after their owners left for work or school. They usually hang-out with each other and share different stories about their owners.

Max (voice of Louis C.K.) the terrier lives a quiet and peaceful life being the favorite pet of his owner, Katie (voice of Ellie Kemper). But everything changed when Katie brings home a mongrel named Duke (voice of Eric Stonestreet) whom Max dislikes. Now, they have to set aside their differences and unite against a white bunny Snowball (voice of Kevin Hart) who is building an army of lost pets determined to take revenge and turned the tables on humanity.

A re-imagining of Charlton Heston’s 1959 classic film which won 11 Academy Awards, including Best Picture; and based from Lew Wallace’s 1880 epic novel of the same title which reflects themes of betrayal, conviction, and redemption.

Falsely accused of treason by his adopted brother, Messala (Toby Kebbell-“Wrath of the Titans”), who is an officer in the Roman army, Judah Ben-Hur (Jack Huston-“American Hustle”) is sentenced to a life of slavery where he loses everything, including his family and the woman he loves (Nazanin Boniadi).

Ben-Hur attempts to exact revenge by challenging Messala in a grand chariot race, but he finds redemption and being forever changed after a series of encounters with Jesus Christ (Rodrigo Santoro-“The Last Stand”).

Bridgette (Bela) is a bank teller dumped by her Chinese boyfriend, while Jessica (Yassi) is a young perky cheerleader, who finds out that her boyfriend is in love with someone else. Gwen (Arci) works for a band with her boyfriend, who eventually breaks up with her, while Joan (Kim) is left by her lonesome when her fiancé dies after proposing to her.

Lastly, Clarisse (Andi) is a former actress who suffers the consequences of being the other girl. She finds relief from young and good-looking Camp Sawi head coach cum resident chef, Louie (Sam).
