A man on board a motorcycle was killed after his vehicle was accidentally rammed in Jagna by a Southern Star bus in the transport firm’s seventh road mishap this year.
The victim, identified as 32-year-old Glenn Galamiton, a resident of Bunga Mar, Jagna, was rushed to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival following the accident at 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
Based on investigation by the Jagna police, Galamiton was on his way to attend the funeral service of his cousin at a church in said town.
The victim made a turn towards the highway when the Southern Star bus traveling on the same road collided with the ill-fated vehicle.
On the same day, a man was severely injured after his motorcycle collided with a private multicab head on in Barangay Dao, Tagbilaran City.

Police identified the victim as 25-year-old Roel Minoras, a resident of Brgy. Tiptip and a maintenance employee of the Western Cogon Elementary School.
According to the victim’s borther, Alde, Minoras was travelling from Brgy. Cogon going to Brgy. Dao to gas up when his motorcycle collided into the multicab near a BQ warehouse.
He said that the multicab which came from Minoras’ opposite direction attempted to overtake another vehicle prior to the collision.
The victim was reportedly caught off guard and was unable to dodge the incoming multicab as the vehicle had no headlights.
Minoras was rushed to a nearby hospital where physicians continue to attend to his injuries. (Allen Doydora)
