A house helper has been accused of stealing valuables worth P72,000 from her employers in M. Torralba Extension, Poblacion 3, Tagbilaran City.

According to 69-year-old victim Maria Dumadag, the suspect left their house on December 31 to spend the rest of the holiday season at her home in Barangay Mahayag, Mabini.

However, the suspect identified as Floramae Luzano, 24, has not returned since then and can no longer be contacted through her cellphone while belongings of Dumadag were already reportedly missing.

She said that on January 7, she found out that her gold jewelries worth P45,000, three wristwatches worth P15,000 and three pairs of male’s shoes worth P12,000 were missing.

Dumadag noted that it is unlikely that the suspect would still return given that several of her belongings have already been stolen.

The victim said that she will be filing a qualified theft complaint against Luzano. (Weli Maetsrado)
