A couple from Quezon City ended up getting a room for two at the hospital amid their vacation in the province after their motorcycle smashed into an incoming bus in Loboc on Friday.
Victims Rowel and Armie Abes suffered broken bones, bruises and cuts in various parts of their bodies but are now in safe condition, authorities said.
Based on Loboc police investigation, the victims were travelling on board a rented scooter type motorcycle from Loboc to the manmade forest in Bilar when the incident happened.
At a sharp curve in Barangay Gotozon, the Abeses reportedly ended up slightly crossing to the opposite lane causing their vehicle to collide head on with an Eagle Trans bus which was travelling from Bilar to Loboc.
TARSIER 117 rescuers in Loboc immediately responded to the incident and swiftly transported the victims to a private hospital.
According to authorities, none of the victims were wearing safety gear during the incident. (Allen Doydora)
