The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has urged voters to claim their voter’s identification cards from election officers in their respective locations.
Provincial election supervisor Atty. Elesio Labaria, 65,356 voter’s IDs remained unclaimed by their owners.
Election officers in various areas across the province have already been instructed to remind registered voters to start claiming their Comelec IDs, Labaria said.
The Comelec official noted that there is no need for other official identification materials or proof of identity to redeem the voter’s ID at local election offices.
Meanwhile, around 9 million voter’s IDs remain unclaimed by their owners nationwide. (Rey Tutas)
