Police conduct an inventory of confiscated drugs allegedly from Teodoro Angam at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

A man previously convicted of murder was arrested by police in a buy-bust operation in Tagbilaran City.

Operatives of the Tagbilaran City Police Station (TCPS) arrested Teodoro “Teody” Angam, a 59-year-old resident of Taloto-Ubujan Road, on Tuesday afternoon.

The police unit led by Sr. Insp. Erano Regidor initiated the sting operation after Angam was allegedly spotted selling drugs outside his home by a surveillance team.

Regidor immediately set up the buy-bust operation wherein Angam reportedly sold shabu worth P500 to a poseur-buyer.

According to Regidor, the suspect tried to evade arrest as he ran towards home but was immediately cornered by the operatives.

Angam was allegedly caught in possession of shabu worth P5,000 and drug paraphernalia.

The suspect was previously subjected to Oplan Tokhang by Tagbilaran City barangay officials and police but continued to sell illegal drugs, said Regidor.

Angam is detained at the Tagbilaran City lock-up jail pending the filing of drug charges against him. (Weli Maestrado)
